Ingredients:
4 slices of bread
2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
8 slices mozzarella cheese
8 slices pepperoni
1/4 cup marinara sauce
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
Salt and black pepper to taste
Directions:
Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat.
Butter one side of each slice of bread.
Place two slices of bread, buttered side down, in the skillet.
On each slice of bread, layer a slice of mozzarella cheese, followed by four slices of pepperoni, a dollop of marinara sauce, a pinch of dried oregano, a pinch of garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
Top each sandwich with another slice of mozzarella cheese and the remaining slices of bread, buttered side up.
Cook until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted, about 3-4 minutes per side.
Remove from the skillet and let cool for a minute before cutting.
