Ingredients:
- 1 cup butter, melted
- 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
- 1 to 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
- 2 cups creamy natural peanut butter (I prefer the no sugar added type), divided
- 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
Instructions:
- I start by grabbing a large bowl. In it, I mix together the melted butter, graham cracker crumbs, powdered sugar, and 1 cup of the peanut butter. Once the mixture is well combined, I spread it evenly in a 9 x 13 pan. This forms the base of the bars.
- Next, I melt the chocolate chips with the remaining 1 cup of peanut butter. I usually do this in the microwave, taking care to stir it occasionally to ensure a smooth mixture.
- Once the chocolate and peanut butter are melted and mixed, I spread this mixture evenly over the cracker crumb base in the pan. It’s starting to look really tempting at this point!
- The hardest part for me is waiting for it to chill until firm. I place the pan in the refrigerator to speed up the process.
- Once it’s firm, I cut the whole thing into 54 bars. The size can vary depending on how big or small I want them.
- I store these peanut butter bars in the refrigerator or freezer. They’re a great treat to have on hand when I’m craving something sweet and peanut buttery.
