- 4 slices thick sliced bread
- ½ onion, thinly sliced
- 2 slices American Cheese
- 4 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 2 large eggs
- ¼ cup milk
- 1 tablespoon ketchup
- 1 teaspoon mustard
- 2 tablespoons butter
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional garnishes: pickles, additional ketchup, and mustard
Directions:
- In a skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess grease and season with salt and pepper. Set aside to cool slightly.
- In a bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, ketchup, and mustard.
- Heat a large skillet or griddle over medium heat and melt butter.
- Dip each slice of bread in the egg mixture, ensuring both sides are coated.
- Fry the bread slices in the skillet until golden brown on both sides, then set aside.
- To assemble, place a slice of toasted bread on a plate, top with a slice of cheese, half of the cooked beef, and a sprinkle of crumbled bacon. Add another slice of bread on top, then repeat the layers.
- Serve hot with optional garnishes like pickles, ketchup, and mustard if desired.
